Installation Steps
1
Choose Transition Type
T-molding for same-height floors, reducer for height changes, threshold for doorways, end cap for edges.
2
Measure Opening
Measure doorway or transition width precisely. Account for jamb depth.
3
Cut Transition Strip
Cut transition to length with miter saw. Cut at 90 degrees for straight cuts.
4
Install Track (Floating)
For floating floors, screw track to subfloor in center of gap. Leave expansion space on both sides.
5
Snap in Transition
For track systems, snap transition strip into track. No adhesive needed.
6
Screw Down (Nail-Down)
For nail-down floors, predrill and screw transition directly to subfloor.
7
Apply Adhesive (Glue-Down)
For glue-down floors, apply construction adhesive to bottom of transition and press into place.
8
Check Level
Ensure transition is level and flush with both floor surfaces. Adjust if needed.
