Installation Steps
1

Acclimate Tiles

Store LVT in room for 48 hours at 65-85°F. Vinyl needs proper temperature for installation.

2

Prepare Subfloor

Ensure subfloor is smooth, clean, and dry. LVT telegraphs every imperfection.

3

Plan Layout

Snap perpendicular chalk lines at room center. Dry-lay tiles to determine best pattern.

4

Start at Center

Begin installation at center intersection. Work outward in quadrants for balanced layout.

5

Peel and Stick (Adhesive-Back)

For peel-and-stick tiles, remove backing and press firmly into place.

6

Apply Adhesive (Glue-Down)

Spread thin layer of vinyl adhesive with notched trowel. Follow open time specifications.

7

Place Tiles

Press tiles firmly into adhesive or onto subfloor. Butt edges tightly together.

8

Roll Tiles

Roll with 100 lb roller to ensure full adhesion and eliminate air pockets.

9

Cut Edge Tiles

Measure and mark tiles. Score with utility knife and straightedge, then snap.

10

Install Around Obstacles

Create cardboard template for complex cuts. Transfer to tile and cut with utility knife.
